About your Supervisor: Lisa Blum, Psy.D. (PSY#19790) is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in promoting healthy couple and family relationships through an attachment lens. Dr. Blum is an ICEEFT-Certified Therapist and Supervisor in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), one of the few research-validated therapies for helping couples and families strengthen relationships and build stronger connections. Dr. Blum is in private practice in Pasadena, where her work includes individual, couples, and family therapy, and supervision, training, and public speaking on family, marital, and parenting issues. Since the beginning of her career, Dr. Blum has been involved in teaching, research, and practice in the field of sexuality, and currently co-facilitates weekend workshops for couples who want to deepen and enrich their sexual connection. In addition, Dr. Blum and her close colleague Dr. Silvina Irwin lead consultation groups for mental health professionals who are refining their skills in integrating sexuality into their couples’ therapy work.
Dr. Blum’s previous experience includes: Supervising Psychologist at the Institute for Girls’ Development in Pasadena; Supervising Psychologist for Children’s Hospital¬-Los Angeles; Staff Researcher at the UCLA Center for Adolescent Health Promotion; and Director of Education for the HiTOPS Teen Health Center in Princeton, NJ. Dr. Blum holds Masters and Doctoral degrees in Psychology from Rutgers University and a Bachelors degree in Psychology with honors from Cornell University.

About your Supervisor: Susan is a licensed clinical psychologist and a psychoanalyst. After completing her analytic training, she participated in an ongoing study group with Allan Schore Ph.D. where she learned in depth more about our brains, affect regulation and attachment. Susan was drawn to EFT because of its emphasis on attachment and the dynamics of intimate relationships. Susan is grateful to be part of the community of people worldwide who help me to keep growing and learning about the amazing world of humans, individually and in partnerships.
Susan says “Through my patients, am given the privilege of sitting with people to explore what these experiences mean. I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals and couples who are curious and interested in deepening their lives and connections. As a perpetual student, I have continued my training and studies. I look forward to talking about the incredible and complex dynamic involved in couples work and the interplay of the couples internal experience as well as how it affects us as therapists internally and in the actual consulting room.”
In addition to being an analyst, Susan is an EFT certified therapist and supervisor, and also completed training in discernment counseling with Willian Doherty.
4 Day Externship (2024)
This is the most comprehensive and basic level of training and education in EFT, taught by an ICEEFT registered trainer. This 4-day course is a comprehensive introductory course to Emotionally Focused Therapy. The course includes observation of live, unscripted therapy sessions with real couples, presentations of attachment theory and clinical techniques, skills training exercises, and discussion of specific cases of clinical material.

By shedding light on these cycles, Ossi helps couples break free from being stuck and cultivate empathy and grace for one another. Her goal is to empower couples to choose vulnerability and closeness as a daily practice. Ossi feels privileged to do this work, and her clients inspire her with their courage to show up every week.
Ossi holds her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and her Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA.

One thing we know is that we can’t learn EFT alone, and even the most seasoned practitioners seek support and consultation in their work.
As an EFTCLA member, you have access to one free hour of EFT Supervisor Office Hours a month for support and consultation on your EFT work. If you don’t have a particular question or case you need support with, you are welcome to observe the consultation of your colleagues. This is a group consultation space and is free to all EFTCLA members. If you are not an EFTCLA member and would like to join, please become a member here. Each month a different supervisor or supervisor-in-training holds Office Hours so you can learn from a wide range of styles and people in your L.A. community!

She has worked with South East Asian refugee populations in MN and with underserved children and families in Southern California. She is a certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor and enjoys working with cross-cultural couples and families of immigrants. She offers therapy in Korean and English. Advanced Core Skills Training with Silvina Irwin and Michael Barnett (Module 4)
Core Skills Advanced Training is a series of modules aimed to develop your skills as an EFT Therapist. In this small group setting, you will deepen your understanding of EFT and interventions through video review, didactic presentation and discussion, experiential exercises, observation of live sessions, and small group work.
